Aims & Scope

The Journal of Health Sciences (JHS) is published regularly by the University of Novo mesto Faculty of Health Sciences since 2014. It is intended for professional groups in healthcare working in the fields of education, research, clinical practice, management, leadership, health education, and other related areas in Europe and beyond.

The journal has an international editorial board and a wide range of reviewers who are experts in different health fields. It adheres to established publishing standards and is freely accessible in electronic format. Articles undergo review by two external anonymous reviewers. The journal publishes articles in both Slovenian and English and is issued twice a year.

The aim of the journal is to publish high-quality original and review scientific articles contributing to the development of scientific disciplines in healthcare, creation of new knowledge, deepening existing knowledge, and integration of individual disciplines contributing to holistic and patient-centered care.

The Journal of Health Sciences is included in the bibliographic collections DOAJ, Biomedicina Slovenica, dLib.si (Digital Library of Slovenia), COBIB.si (Mutual Bibliographic-Cataloging Data Collection), Crossref in Sherpa RoMEo.
