Research on the lives of physiotherapists in the Republic of Croatia examines demographic characteristics, work experience, job satisfaction, stress perception, and self-assessment of happiness. The study involved 501 participants, average age of 36.95 years, mainly employed in the public sector. Most participants are married or in a domestic partnership (65.9%), of which 45.3% live with a partner and children. Work organization and interpersonal relationships are key sources of stress. Participants are generally satisfied and happy, emphasizing the positive aspect of emotional well-being. Awareness of job stress predicts burnout syndrome, with significant influence from gender, level of education, and job position (p<0.05). Research conclusions underscore the need for balance between professional development and caring for emotional well-being to achieve optimal work outcomes. They advocate for promoting work environments that foster emotional well-being and adjusting working conditions to the needs of healthcare professionals for long-term improvement in work efficiency and employee satisfaction in physiotherapy.
