Razširjenost mitov o motnjah hranjenja med celjskimi srednješolci

Povzetek

Obdobje mladosti je zaznamovano z biološkimi spremembami, zaradi katerih se oblika telesa mladih opazno spreminja, želja po nadzoru teh sprememb pa lahko nezavedno vodi v nenadzorovano vedenje, ki povzroči razvoj motenj hranjenja. Prevalenca motenj hranjenja med slovensko mladino močno narašča, zato smo v raziskavi proučili, v kolikšni meri celjski srednješolci (N = 386) poznajo mite o motnjah hranjenja, kako je poznavanje mitov o motnjah hranjenja povezano z nekaterimi dejavniki (spol, starost, stopnja izobrazbe staršev in osebna izkušnja) in iz katerih virov celjski srednješolci pridobijo znanje o motnjah hranjenja. Za pridobitev podatkov smo uporabili kvantitativno metodo raziskovanja, spletno anketiranje. Ugotovili smo, da celjski srednješolci poznajo večino najbolj razširjenih mitov o motnjah hranjenja. Spol udeležencev se je pokazal kot statistično pomembna spremenljivka, ki vpliva na poznavanje mitov, kjer so moški izkazali slabše poznavanje kot ženske, šola pa kot tisto okolje, v katerem srednješolci pridobijo največ znanja o motnjah hranjenja. Izhajajoč iz rezultatov raziskave spodbujamo razvoj preventivnih izobraževalnih programov, ki so usmerjeni na moško populacijo.
