Vpliv vodene telesne dejavnosti pri starejših odraslih s prekomerno telesno maso

Povzetek

Strokovno vodenje telesne dejavnosti lahko pri starejših odraslih vodi k uspešnemu zmanjševanju prekomerne telesne mase. Namen prispevka je predstaviti povezanost telesne dejavnosti v sklopu fizioterapevtske obravnave na starejše odrasle s prekomerno telesno maso. Uporabljena je bila deskriptivna metoda, ki temelji na pregledu znanstvene literature v podatkovnih zbirkah PubMed in PEDro. Vključitvena merila pri izboru člankov so bila: metaanalize, randomizirane klinične raziskave ter raziskave, kjer so preučevali učinke telesne dejavnosti starejših odraslih na zmanjšanje prekomerne telesne mase. Rezultati raziskav izpostavljajo pomen ustrezne telesne dejavnosti, njene afirmativne učinke na izboljšanje srčno-žilnega, presnovnega, imunskega ter lokomotornega sistema. Predstavitev okvirja fizioterapevtske vadbe starejših odraslih s prekomerno telesno maso lahko prispeva k preventivi, ozaveščanju starejših odraslih in nadaljnjemu preučevanju učinkov za zmanjševanje prekomerne telesne mase v celotnem zdravstvenem sistemu, kar vpliva na nadaljnji celostni pristop h kakovostni obravnavi starejših odraslih.
